FORGED STEEL HAND TAMPER - WHACKER PLATE For sale is my forged steel Hand Tamper. It is a manual version of a Whacker plate and is used for compacting Type 1, Sharp sand etc, prior to laying mono-bloc or slabs. It is very handy even if you do have a Petrol Whacker plate because there are often areas where the Whacker plate cant reach but this will. It is made by silverline who lets be honest usually produce a load of rubbish, but this is different and is VERY well made. It is about 6 feet tall and very heavy and made of Solid Forged steel. It cost 35 new. Picture shows a new one but this is exactly the same except in used but good condition. Any Questions please call/txt Thanks
