ESSO 1972-1972 FA CUP CENTENARY COMPLETE COLLECTION COIN SET (40YRS OLD) VERY RARE -

40 years ago, in 1972, the Football Association celebrated the centenary of the FA Cup. In that year the Esso Petroleum Company issued this souvenir booklet. This was produced with assistance from the Football Association. The booklet contains several fold out pages telling the history of the Cup and its winners, with several historic black & white and colour photographs. The booklet also a full set of 30 replica medals of the individual clubs plus one replica medal of the Football Association itself. The photographs included one whole page aerial colour photograph of the original now-demolished Wembley Stadium (a reproduction of this is shown in this listing). This is a large format booklet (about 12" x 11") CONDITION: the medals are all present and are in very good condition. The booklet itself shows some evidence of the passing of time with some rubbing of edges, fade marks on covers and minor creasing in places, and a small tear at bottom of the spine but pages are free of tears and there is no writing. Overall it is a good souvenir which should appeal to all football fans and it is priced competitively compared to copies offered elsewhere. VERY RARE & COLLECTABLE
